Paradise Lost? with Warren Ellis

£20.00

Recorded live as part of Doug Aitken’s ‘Station to Station’ at the Barbican in 2015, this limited edition Vinyl Factory edition included original music by Warren Ellis.

Description

Paradise Lost? was produced by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard especially for Doug Aitken’s ‘Station to Station: A 30 Day Happening’ at the Barbican in July 2015. This ‘living exhibition’ brought together a fusion of leading international and UK-based artists from the world of contemporary art, music, dance, graphic design and film. The piece was shot within the confines of the Barbican and made from start to finish during the 30 days. Iain & Jane were inspired by John Milton’s Paradise Lost, after discovering that Milton is buried within the Barbican grounds.

The piece uses the architecture and atmosphere of the Barbican to update the story, which is told in three parts. Adapted from Milton’s ‘Paradise Lost’ by Kirk Late. Featuring Florence Pugh as Eve, Toby Sebastian as Adam, Sean Harris as Satan and Henry Rollins as the voice of God. Original music by Warren Ellis, records at Glass House Studios, Ivry Sur Seine.

Paradise Lost? was later broadcast by Channel 4 as part of their Random Acts season.

This Vinyl Factory limited edition was designed by Abake and printed on site at the Barbican on 23 July 2015.

Limited edition of 300.
