#CINEMAISOLATION
On 23 March 2020 the UK government announced a national lockdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. A week before, with the inevitable announcement on the horizon, we began a project to watch a film every single day. We shared what we were watching on Instagram under the hashtag CINEMAISOLATION.
The idea was never to watch only the ‘best’ films, only to be honest in sharing our choices. This list is better seen as a diary of our isolation, rather than a list of recommendations. There’s no system or internal logic, just a mix of new releases and classic movies, independent and blockbusters, sourced from our DVD shelves, Netflix, BFI Player, television broadcasts and other streaming services. Images are all from our TV screen.
