Unexpected Views at the National Gallery

NATIONAL GALLERY UNEXPECTED VIEWS ONLINE

We were invited by the National Gallery to take part in their ‘Unexpected Views’, a series of monthly conversations between National Gallery curators and some of the most important cultural practitioners of today, focussing on a selected masterpiece from the National Gallery Collection, exploring its relevance to the artist’s work, or more broadly to current social and cultural issues. For our event, in January 2023, we selected Paul Delaroche’s monumental painting ‘The Execution of Lady Jane Grey’.
