BISH BOSCH: AMBISYMPHONIC

For this year’s Vivid LIVE festival in Sydney we have teamed up with Scott Walker to create Bish Bosch: Ambisymphonic, a unique and immersive sonic re-imagining of his recent album, Bish Bosch. Receiving its world premiere at the Sydney Opera House, it’s Scott like you have never heard him before.

In a rare move, Walker opened the doors for his recordings to be taken even further with four tracks from his latest album, Bish Bosch, being remixed and spatialised into an Ambisonic symphony. The resulting piece presents Walker’s world of unparalleled depth and originality, plunging the listener into near darkness and opening them up to an all-consuming sonic experience. We worked with our regular collaborators at Arup to create a state-of-the-art, purpose built, geodesic dome of multidirectional speakers, programmed by Raj Patel and Terence Caulkins, and with Scott’s long term co-producer Peter Walsh working to painstakingly ensure that Scott’s original vision is preserved.
